singapore chow mein
please can anyone help me out with a recipe for this? used to get it at my local chinese take away have now moved and cant get it anymore.

Not sure about singapore style but chow mein...
Whatever meat you fancy.
1 Tbsp Soy sauce
1 tsp Salt
1 Tbsp Sugar
8 Fresh mushrooms
1/2 lb Bean sprouts
6 oz Bamboo shoots (can)
3 green onions
2 cup stock (tailor to meat used)
2 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 tsp Sesame oil
2 cup dried egg noodles
Deep frying oil
Cut meat into thin strips. Mix the salt, sugar and soy sauce together and mix well, then add the meat and marinate for at least an hour.
Slice the mushrooms, inc the stems and slice the onions into little pieces; soak, rinse and drain the bean sprouts.
In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and stock together. Drain the beef reserving the marinade. Heat the sesame oil and stir-fry the beef for 4 to 5 minutes. Add the cornstarch mixture and remaining marinade, bring to a boil stirring constantly; add the vegetables and simmer for 5 minutes longer.
Cook noodles in boiling water for 4 to 5 minutes then drain. Deep fry as needed draining on absorbent paper.
