There's a recipe somewhere around about the middle of the section on chicken (I think) - it's for something she describes as a dish commonly cooked - I think she refers to it as a chicken stew ????
(I could be getting confused, of course - years since I've used the book !)
I think the best way to tell if it's the recipe I'm after is that you don't pre-brown the chicken (you throw it in the saucepan after the (lentils - I think) have been cooking for a while & then the spices are fried in a seperate pan & just sort of thrown in with the rest later !!!
Would love it if you could find it for me !!!

250g lentils
75g chopped onion
sliced hot green chillie
2tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp turmeric
1tsp finely chopped ginger
1,5litres water
1.3 k chicken
sallt
2tsb veg oil
1tsp whole cumin seeds
2-4 cloves finely chopped garlic
cayenne pepper
2tsb lemon juice
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4tsp garam masala
fresh coriander
I will assume you know the method.....let me know if you need any more info...

- Am feelin' really "fed-up" at mo, cos O/H jes gone away without me again for the week (new driver training) & thought I'd use the opportunity & cook a curry (as he can't stand the stuff !)
