i'm sure you could, and it would look the same. however, it would probably taste different. i seem to remember someone posting a link to a load of information about the different creams available, and how to make ordinary cream into soured cream. could have been by adding lemon juice but i'm not really sure. maybe if you google it?

Hi ethan,
I forgot to make a list for the ingredients and shopped by memory forgetting the soured cream!! Yeah, I realise the taste will be different. I wonder out of the two creams if single would be better to use? Thanks for your reply x
i'd use the double i think, and maybe a teaspoon of lemon juice in it. i tried to find something out by googling it but only came up with some people use a little vinegar and some use lemon juice. lemon juice seemed to be the favourite as it doesn't smell/taste as strong. but hey, what do i know???? :)
can i have a slice when you're made it please?

Thanks ethan!
I can get both of those locally. Can you have some? Believe me, it'll be gone very quickly, so sorry :0( Thanks for your replies :0) x
