Not just any old jam... oh no.. but a special jar of homemade delicious blackberry and apple jam with a splash of port.
A group of my neighbours have made a batch of jams - to sell to the other neighbours on the estate and the Christmas Fayre. The apples and blackberries were grown on the estate and we all made the jam together.
The labels have been designed too - and they all look rather lovely.
Our purchases costs are about £1.50 per jar - but wouldnt want this to sway you in your decision too much.
How much would you pay - for a jar of delicious jam made from apples and blackberries on the estate you live on - which could also make a small stocking filler for a relative or friend!
Oooh! I love blackberry and apple jam especially home made. Are you doing mail order? If so, I'll have a couple of jars. I'll pay £2.50 a jar plus post and packing.
Starbuckone - thats very kind of you to offer to buy some!!!
We have two flavours - apple and blackberry with port and apple and mandarin with triple sec.
They are both YUMMY.. much better than the shop stuff!
We havent got lots of jars - only about 40 or so.. but would happily sell you two if you were that keen!
I was thinking somewhere around the £3 mark.. per jar.. and maybe sell 2 for a fiver? To try to get people to buy more than one!
We also have homemade cider.. and a whole load of apple pies and cakes and muffins to sell too! The cider is quite strong though... one neighbour tried a pint and couldnt speak properly for two hours!!!! Whoops!
I think for the homemade jam you describe that £1.50 is quite reasonable(I would pay up to £2.00 or more)but then I live in London where we are used to paying more.
I buy (on a regular basis) Tiptree Mulberry Conserve, and this is £3.79 a jar!
You can tell I just LOVE jam.
Yes I am. (keen I mean) How can I contact you? Is a cheque okay? I could send it to you before you send the jam, if you want to wait for it to go through the bank. My mouth is watering already just thinking about it. Yummy.
