Like McVities Ginger nuts, there are a lot of different makes of Ginger biscuits but the originals are McVities. (ok it might not be Mc Vities but you get the point)
By the same token, Picallili is just one of many products (brands) made by Branston.
I am sure many other firms make the same thing and probably can call it Picallili because of the 50 year rule so there are many versions of it but, it is essentially pickled mixed veg with various condements, mainly mustard and vinager but lots of other things it is not the same as the other "pickled mixed veg in vinegar", another offering without a particular short name.
