First time ever apparently red alert issued by met office for Edinburgh

Not surprised. I'm in Dunfermline and it really thick. The roads are impassible

Very thick blizzards visibility down to about 10 yards ! No public transport all schools shut..praying we keep power

I noticed that all 3 Prem League games in Scotland are off.

Hi jordyboy, pavements gritted, but I have to go out, pretty soon, so should be OK.

It is bad nationwide, I think. Poor you! Even have it in far SW now. Two inches in about 15 minutes and still coming. Pond was frozen right over this am except for near the fountain.
The children being sent home now from local school.
I know it's not unusual for the North but down here it is. Will not venture out until it is gone. Poor birds a lot of the food is under snow now.

strewth! It's bad outside here near Glasgow, but the East and of Scotland and Kent are getting battered.
