Corrupted/lost World On Minecraft

As I found a ravine, I was going to mine my first diamonds. I was crossing a lava pit and decided to not fight. A skeleton shot me off my dirt bridge before getting to the diamonds and, since I had so much valuable stuff on me, I force-shut-down my computer, corrupting my world file. I still have the world, its just not showing up on my world selection screen. Help!!!

not sure theres much you can do about cleaning up a file that hasnt been written to properly?
