Is anyone eagerly anticipating the unveiling of the new xbox 720 today? This could almost be in the 'News' section making a much needed diversion from gay marriage debates and broken britian.

Don't mind about the always on issue (the 360 is permanently connected so it don't make any difference) and I very rarely go back to play a game once finished so again backwards compatibility is irrelevant. And Ill not be saying good-bye to the 360 for a while, it will sit under the X1 as i have a couple of spare HDMI inputs on the telly. I do buy a few 2nd hand games from ebay though so that might change depending on the cost of the licence to play again, however i suspect that will ultimately be reflected in the price sellers will be able to charge so it may well balance out a bit. This will be a early christmas pressy to myself. I cant wait.
Not sure I'll get in early. Still some decent 360 titles to come and launch titles are always notoriously thin on the ground.
'Always on' doesn't bother me either neither does backwards compatibility. I've played 1 Xbox Original game since owning a 360 and that was SC:Chaos Theory downloaded a couple of months back from the marketplace.

Hi Rich,
"And Ill not be saying good-bye to the 360 for a while, it will sit under the X1 as i have a couple of spare HDMI inputs on the telly."
The Xbox One has Hdmi pass-through. The idea is you can put a freeveiw or other set-top-box through it and have it overlaid with Xbox UI.
What some have speculated is that you could plug in the 360 to "pass through" and be able to play with a Xbox One controller through the Xbox One.
I'm just saying, you might still have some HDMI ports free!
