Does anyone know when exactly it is going to be released?? My son wants one for his birthday in November and does anyone know of a price yet?? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

We still don't know the exact date of the Nintendo Wii; only that it is being released in the fourth quarter of this year i.e before the year ends. Also, we don't know how much it will cost, but it will be significantly cheaper than either the X360 or the PS3 (which will cost in the region of �450-500).

However, most of what we need to know will be revealed on the 14th of this month, when there will be an event of some sort to let us know more.

the release date is anticipated for november but has not been officially confirmed as said above.
as for the price,i believe it was confirmed as approx �150-�180

Nintendo have some kind of big event scheduled in the US on the 14th September and one in London on the 15th.
It's widely believed they'll be announcing release dates and prices for the US market and then the European market on the following day.

Most games industry types reckon on a release in November, probably not long before the PS3. As if a few days difference will decide the future success of the console. Most people will already have made up their minds anyway.
