Resident Evil 4
I know this game is a few years old, but I'm considering buying it. My friend says its a good game but much more linear than the others in the series. Also whats the best platform to play it on PS2 or Gamecube?

If a game lasts you a good few hours because its a rollercoaster ride from start to finish, because you are gently guided to where you need to go, it's lambasted as being "too linear".
But I can't see the attraction of a game you can plunge hundreds of hours into and not know where to go or what to do.
Resi 4 is one of the best games of the decade, you would be remiss in not buying it. Linear it may be, but by God you'll never once hold that against it.
Its a scream !

The PS2 version. Eventhough the Gamecube version has bigger backgrounds ("I can see a path over there that wasn't in the PS2 version...)- but aren't that different, the constrol scheme on the PS2 is much better. Also, it only needs one disk so you don't have to change it or risk losing one etc.
The PS2 version is recommended from me.
