If Ibuy a ds lite game in japan, will it work in the uk handheld version, or are some coded regionally as in dvds? Many thanks

I bought my Australian Cousin a UK DS game for her xmas present it worked fine on her Australian DS. So i think you will be alright

As australia is some how or another part of u.k they will work however this is a good question as american and japanese will work together but not sure if jap will work on pal versions as this has proved on many consoles in the past. If the game is cheap enough its worth a try but personally i'd wait for a uk one.

As the DS has no regional coding, games and consoles from all countries will work together. However in the case of a Japanese game be aware that they use a different alphabet and charater set, so your game will work it's just any on screen instrustions will be in Japanese.

BTW don1901 'pal' refers to the colour tv system, so has no relevance in the case of a handheld console as it uses it's own proprietry display.
