PS3 online

Having problems getting ps3 online. I do not have a clue how to do it, please help!!

i have a netgear adsl router that someone gave me but it's not installed yet. It came with no instructions. If I do get it installed what next?? thanks

Once your router is up and running just plug the PS3 into the router with an ethernet cable. I'm assuming it has a couple of network ports built in. What model is it?

By default the router will handout network addresses and stuff to connected to devices so there shouldn't be a great deal to do to get the PS3 online.

I think mine automatically stepped me through the registration process once it could see the internet.

Yeah, as Llamatron said, its all automatic. My PS3 came with a cable. I literally plugged it and was going straight away. PLus, online gaming is free! YAY!
Alternativly, the PS3 can connect wirelessly - as long as your router is wireless, hobvioulsy.
