Genes Reunited
I have had my tree on GR for quite a while. Within the last twelve months I've uploaded my mother in laws tree. Even though the two trees have numerous "hot matches" I've had virtually no requests asking for access or information to the trees.
I've not renewed my subscription for quite a while.
Have GR priced themselves out of the market?

The problem is GR only match the name and year of birth. You will get matches with same name people born all over the world and rarely the same location your ancestor came from.
You say you've had no requests from anyone for access or info. Have you contacted the people GR match you with for access or information? It's a two way thing.
However, I agree with Craft, GR is not expensive.
