Trying to find details of Frank Litherland b 1853 in wolverhampton.

Son on Ruth and John Litherland, I had him down as married in 1874 to Harriet Ann Hill, b 1856 - with two children Ruth b1876 married 1895 to? and Frank.born 1878, d 1901 in Leeds. Frank Snr. suddenly disappears. Harriet is Head in the 1881 census with the children and Moses Rhodes lodger who also works in the shoe trade. She married Moses Rhodes in 1889 in Hunslet Leeds.

So, Frederick John who was born 1840 was probably son of Hannah and she has died in childbirth.

At last you have found john's father for me George, I thought it could be Samuel and Jane, another bit of confusion there, I'm a bit stuck going further back. But I do know that George ends up in Leeds in 1881 he is in Kirkgate Leeds.

So Frederick John must be another one, I hadn't realised that 1840 date was before Ruth married John I took it he was their first child.

I have two Samuel and Jane (leatherland) marriages. Samuel born? and Jane b1786 and died 1815 she had a daughter Mary Ann b May 1815 and died August 1815. Jane died aged 29 must have been in childbirth in 1815. The second Samuel born ? and Jane was born 1816 they had a daughter diana Jane b 1820 @ St Martin Birmingham, (the same as place as John b 1812. One of these Samuel and Jane were at Birmingham St martin at the christening of John ? b 1810. This was where I wondered if they were my Gf Johns' parents.
