has anyone seen the article in the daily mail today about pauline quirke, well done on her for losing weight but I thought she looked a little ill in the pics
Yes, unfortunately one of the pros of being overweight is it keeps the face puffed and wrinkle free. Once the fat's gone the wrinkles show up and it can be ageing.
I think she looks good, just not like Pauline.
Can't see where it says she is under 8 stone. She has lost 7 stone and wants to lose a total of 8 and a half stone.
The author of the article says she is under 8 stone, so Pauline has lost the equivalent of a person her size.
wait till it goes back on - thats a bummer - she does look different - i saw her on Emmerdale the other week & said to the wife she( P Q ) lost weight, she didn't really notice as she is a regular watcher (not weight) :-)
I lost 5 stone when in hospital for 12 weeks with transplant (nearly died then had to learn to walk again- I was very stubborn), but have since put 4 back on-agree with Cazzz,Pauline looks different-hope she keeps it off, or only puts stone back on-its hard when you eat properly (or eat at all in my case) to keep it off. I'm still not very mobile-which is my problem... hope when she leaves emmerdale she stays active
She looks fantastic, well done Pauline, it must have been very hard for her with a family to feed. Shame all the other fat people do not follow her example.
I lost five stone a few years back now and people still say I look gaunt! I'm a size 10; I think it's just what people get used to. It probably is more noticeable with age, though.
The only problem when losing all this weight is you are left with saggy skin, I know this 'cos I've seen it on those TV progs, so has Pauline and Fern etc had to have tummy tucks etc? It's ok for them as they can afford it but some of us can't. Even with excercise I think the skin will still look saggy.
