My Great Grandad Was a Band Boy In The Boer War But I Cant Find Any Info On Him . His Name Is Edward Marsh And He Was Born In Lancashire ,Probably Preston.

There are 3 Edward Marsh entries on the 1891 census born preston , one is aged 1, one 6 and one 7. Really anyone of them could be the right one, do you have his date of death and his age at death?

should be able to help you.
Do you have a birth./marriage./death certificate? If so you will know/have some idea when he was born. Even his childrens birth certificates will have some information on him ie his full name and what he did for a living.

spudqueen i was assumong if he was in the Boer war (or 2ns Boer war0 he would miss the 1901, though i know the troops were recorded in a seperate return.
