Coincidence or what?
Last night I bought an item on Ebay and the seller is my cousin's son! We live miles away from each other and I haven't seen him since he was a baby and I was about 8.
This was about 40 years ago.
I know for certain who he is, as I administered a will and had all the relatives' details.
I have sent him a short email with my details--I wonder if he will reply?
I still can't get over the sheer coincidence of all this.
Has it happened to anyone else?

Never happened to me, but last week the in-laws were staying for a few days and I showed my Mother-in-law a book of lovely photographs of Lancaster, where I was born. She rang me up last night to say that she'd been talking to her neighbours, who she knew had friends in Lancaster, to say she'd seen this book of lovely photos, they immediately asked if it was by Jon Sparks, who is the son of their friends, and it is!
its totally different scenario but thought you might like this one. 3 years ago i travelled to australia for a year. in the last month of my "year out" i decided to travel to new zealand for last few weeks before heading home. on travelling back to australia from new zealand i got talkin to the fella in check out queue. nothing special just the great weather i'd had in australia and new zealand in my stay. he never mentioned much about himself. so that was that. just another stranger in passing. the following week when i was boarding the plane for my trip back to the uk, i was walking along the aisles and i noticed this guy and just said hello in passing and said i never realised he was heading to the uk. he just smiled and we went our ways again. ok so still nothing special. so imagine my shock when i was standing in heathrow for my next connecting flight to belfast on my final stage of my journey home and see this guy in the same check out queue. we both found this amusing and got talking in the departure lounge properly. this guy was from new zealand, his family were originally from northern ireland. he had travelled to australia for a weeks holiday before heading on to see his irish family in northern ireland for 3 months. just so happens we had been on all the same flights. BUT heres the next thing the killer punch. HE WAS TRAVELLING TO MY TOWN, TO MY AREA, TO MY STREET. HIS FAMILY WERE MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS! he didn't have to worry about a taxi when he arrived at belfast. My dad was there and could bring him right to his families door. Half way round the world you meet a stranger and you's are travelling in the same direction all along
