I subscribe to Ancestry . uk and find the info there very good.Is there much point in joining any other site, as it seems the info would be the same. What do other sites offer that is different, I am not with Genes reunited anymore as I was not getting much further with them.
Advice from you experts out there would be appreciated.

I am a member of Ancestry but I am also a member of www.findmypast.com which I find easier to use in some respects. I am also with genesreunited as you never know who is going to join - I have found a first cousin I haven't seen for 30 years plus various distant cousins, one of whom has traced one branch of my/our tree back to 1700.
I am a member of ancestry and also Gene Reunited which because of its huge membership is very good at contacting people who have the same ancestors. The other good thing about Genes is that is costs 9.95 a year - a lot cheaper than the others.

I don't know about Findmypast, I have used credits for looking up things in the past.

Hope this helps

Thanks carolegif and spudqueen, I might rejoin genesreunited later in case other relations are there but at the moment I am not getting any new info.I might give one of the others a try though. Thanks again
Find my past definately, i just put in a christian name of a female ancestor from a census return and her age and place of birth and then i can spot her on the list of options, saves buying a certificate and never been wrong yet.
