Just an update, I've recieved the death certificate for the great aunt and she was a religious sister at St Mary's Convent, St Marychurch, Torquay. I've found that the convent is now an old folks home and the orphanage next door, a boys orphange was pulled down years ago but she may have taught there. Anyone remember the school/orphanage.
