Getting his mischief!

I have been trawling through family Census Records and have printed off the 1911 entry for a clergyman ancestor's household. There are 2 sons & 2 daughters listed The eldest two children, aged 11 & 9, are in education. The youngest two, aged 3 & 2, are entered under the heading Occupation as 'Getting His/Her Mischief'

Thank you for sharing this. It is absolutely priceless. I'm in stitches. Poor chap. I wish I had an ancestor like that. Why is it that everybody else's families are more interesting??

It is priceless, isn't it? I think that clergyman had a great sense of humour. I immediately thought of my little granddaughter, aged 2. I think I'll have to show the entry to her parents with a census coming up soon!

lol that is brilliant.......if you look at the original 'getting into mischief' is the profession, and type of work is 'upsetting things'

I see the original entry now, craft1948, I hadn't looked at that before so didn't see the 'upsetting things' bit! That makes the whole thing even funnier!
