What is the difference between a tank, a self propelled gun and an assault gun? Thanks in advance

A tank has a turret that rotates. A self propelled gun looks like a tank and moves the same way but has no turret so it has to turn the whole thing to aim. An assault gun needs moving by other means.
Also a tank has more armour plate than a SPG, so it can take more punishment, whereas a SPG relies on its speed to move between shots.

Also a tank is used for offence, whereas an SPG is usually used as a defence weapon.
