I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

I've now got 21 badges...think that might be right. Cards and parcels are all goen. shopping is done, even food barring the fresh stuff....can relax a little. Antibis for mouth infections are dreadful. I can't have any penicillin or erythromycin type ones so i end up on the one that means no alcohol. Its getting chilly again here...
oh, I've lost my marathon badge, my pride and joy. Even though I didn't deserve it.

I went to order an ecosphere as a Christmas present only to be told shipping from Germany has been disrupted by bad weather and I probably won't get it till next week. I've ordered it anyway and Santa will just have to be late. They can't be posted in bad weather as they might be held up in the dark and they mustn't be in the dark for more than a couple of days or everything dies.

Well I'm not staying at Claridges ,they give you ants to eat :)

The best laid plans of mice and men etc .....was going to town today but no ..my other bro rang very early this am and said he was on his way to see us from silly Suffolk .I had to run around and wash my barnet and put something tidy on .So we've all been for a carvery .Very nice .Then we had a cup of tea here and then off he went again :(

I love the Ecosphere Jno .What a nice gift .

Sorry you feel rotten Lofty and Neti you don't appear to be up to scratch either .Look after yourselves .Where's Robinia ?
Am tired too.
God rest ye Merry Biddybabes ..Oight Oight .

Good Mornings

(whispers, with fingers and toes crossed, I think the new Antibios are working and I might still have my front tooth for Christmas!)

Am off out for a coffee this am, see you all later.

xxxx
yay Lottie! Too dogs out this morning and was soooooo cold. but they loved it...am lazing around a bit before I get to work. Hi Hooooooooooo there, that's seasonal.
Good morning, here I is, doing a fine impression of the tinman....ooooph.
Had a good rest on Sun in preparation to go shopping yesterday with my sister... it was very busy when we arrived (lunchtime) but it did quieten down a bit. M&S deserve nil points for having only a handful of tills for the whole of the top floor, the queues were horrendous....just as well they didn't have what I wanted then :). Some woman gassing on her mobi stepped back hard onto my foot...and why, when you're very polite and ask nicely 'excuse me please, may I squeeze by?' do they stare and scowl as if you'd asked them to hand over their purses?! In future they'll just get a prod with me spikey brolly. We just do some, stop to eat and drink and watch the world go frantically by and then do a bit more. I did really well and I think, apart from my own grocery shopping, I'm done.

Love those ecospheres jno...there's one for each of us in the bran tub then?

Pleased everyone seems to be on the up at last...just hoping and praying I didn't bring a million microbes back with me.
Ha, ha jno!!!

Back from my coffee morning and now trying to summons up enthusiasm for clearing up and hoovering!! Got the day to myself, but might go out to see a friend later.
Just trying to fibnished the xmas decrating! Outside red/gold treet is up and now doing the candles and greenery for above the pictures in the lounge, not doing too much this year.

I have stopped taking my 2nd lot of antibi´s cos they made me feel bad, and I feel chipper now, )I mean I did take the whole first lot, so should be OK!

Warm here, only out in trousers, a thin long sleeved top and a thick cardi, and shoes etc, very pelasant, but so un xmassy it is unbelievable. the Town Hall are digging up the town square to make it pedestrian so it's a mess with no town xmas tree this year,, hardly any of the hops have done anything, bah humbug!!

Ah well back to the decorating!

Hope you are all Ok, well done lottie on feeling better too!
Have done quite a bit but I feel wobbly again so am taking a break

Well nobody reminded I had to have a blood test this morning .
Lol..Mr S woke me up at silly o'clock and said ..you have to be at the doctors at 8.30,had you forgotten ? So I had to get me rollerskates on .
Then I went straight to town ,got what I wanted and home .Everywhere was packed .

Our Marks is minus nil points Robinia ....it's so small and rammed with stuff .
You need to be 6ft 6" to look at the jumpers they have them up so high ,and you need to be a midget to look at the bras ,or have a dizzy spell bending down . But they did have 20% off on some things today and I got a couple of gifts half price .
Glad to hear of betterbiddys ..pip pip for now .
I thought I would let you know that I am just about to have a cuppa and a large slice of coffee and walnut cake with coffee buttercream icing. Anyone going to join me? (Not homemade - just Morrison's 'Best'!!)
Shaney, I am often asked to get things off top shelves for people, but these days I can't reach like I used to. I simply can't get things on the bottom shelves at all, but I don't ask little people to do it for me!! ;o)
Question Author
I wouldn't mind a bit of cake Lofty :)
I often get asked ..oh ,you're quite tall ,can you reach me . But,I also get old ducks in Morrisons who say ...could you just bend down and get me .....
and I think to myself ..no I bloody well can't .....but I do !
haha, snap...being tall I get little old ladies asking me to reach up...or in the freezers. I helped an old gal empty her Iceland trolley last week, she couldn't reach the bottom. Two old dears could reach their SIX bottles of voddy easily enough the other day... :)
another reacher upper and downer here...its okay normally but at this time of year they add an extra shelf on top and I have to go and hunt out a tall young man to help me.
My waitrose delivery has just arrived so that's ticked off. I have worked and rested and worked and rested today and got quite a bit done, but I will pass on creamy cake thank you.
I am awaiting delivery of a new kettle as mine has started to umm and err about boiling and my sis cannot live without her coffee.
Am totally and utterly fed up!

Was managing nicely, and just redoi8ng the bed in hija's room as Mr N often pops in there for a read, I put the leccy blanket on, decided to delve into the top of her deep wardrobe and pulled out a huge binbag of fluffy toys, it was like a bucket of water was thrown over me, the roof obviously leaked when I was away and he didn't notice, I was drenched, the carpet is drenched, everywhere is soaking, I am pi**ed off and fed up with the house. So just when I should have been resting, I then had to tidy it all up rewash everything, then hoover throughout the house, shattered, had to make a chilli con carne, just too much. I love character in houses but sometimes I just long for a modern place!!
