Hi dotty, I remember that you used to work in shoes, so can you help me, I recently broke my 2nd toe and now have gout (!), and I need a pair of modern slightly platform shoes in beige for a wedding. The most comfy I have at the moment are a pair of rubberish soled boots from Shoefayre. Is it possible to get a pair of rubberish soled high heels as I can wear them. I have a lovely pair I bought last year from Next for £50 but they are so painful, thanks for any advice. I do mean to buy them in England obviously.

Neti go to Clarke's, this season's fashion range is really good and you would be guaranteed a wide fitting which would help.

Pavers are good, too, with wider shoes

Thanks dotty, the 2nd pair seem perfect. The rubber sole would be easier to walk in wouldn't it?
