I don't actually use one, never time/inclination to watch videos, but I do have tapes I want to put into a different format so I don't lose them :-(
Always something I must get around to, and don't.

Still have my VCR and a wee collection of films (mainly Disney). Grandkids love these when they visit and think my VCR is "smart".

I don't use mine as most of my videos are personal ie holidays, cruises and parties. So don't want to look back on my beautiful, sexy and slim self.

I still watch videos and I also have a cassette recorder which I use too!

I have a Sony C7 Betamax tucked away in the attic. Superb piece of kit in its day. I used to repair vcr tape machines and colour tvs back in the day, and can assure you that the c7 technology was years ahead of its time, although the azimuth tape spinning head system was already dead before it even came to market. Laser video discs were already being developed and trialled. What a sight that was 12inch video discs, never tookoff because of fast developing 6 inch dvd format. You have made me want to dig it out and give it a whirl.

I do...how else am I going to be able to watch all those films that I have, if I don't watch them on a VCR ?

Years ago, subscribed to a 13 CH4 video set of the "World at War", and I still watch the odd one or two now.

But I can't recall the last time that I used my VCR to actually record anything.

Still got and use one mainly for my BBC language series recordings. Togo I still have a Sony vcr might be a C5 or maybe a C7. It's front loading. Trouble I found with Betamax was the heads kept needing to be cleaned/packing up.

Even the charity shops refuse to accept VHS cassettes now.
