Queen Mary was a funny woman. If it was known that she was visiting someone's home they would lock away their valuable ornaments. If she saw something she liked she would harp on and on about it wishing she had something like that so her hosts would feel obliged to present it to her.

I'm sure that I read somewhere that if the hosts weren't forthcoming with something she liked, she stole it .
