I can’t explain why I felt so disgusted with the antics of the 2 ladies
And I use the term ladies for want of another word,
Something like female dogs,
I am on about Abbott and sturgeon,
Their reaction to the liberal leaders defeat
was a disgrace.

Again.......can't stand B.A responses. It is up to the Oper to appoint best answer NOT the odds and ***. Why not say "Good answer" OR I agree with poster?" Annoying habit,

Nice and politics does not generally go together.
I'm sure it was nothing personal, certainly in Sturgeon's case. Holding on to a seat is one thing, but taking a seat from a standing MP, especially a party leader, is a massive achievement - did you expect her to feel sorry for the defeated Swinson?
I missed that. What did they do?
I agree Jordy........common, working class, crass response by both.
This unfortunately is modern politics.
Churchill, Attlee, Thatcher and Blair would be turning in their graves.
Blair?

No JimF, I didn’t expect her to feel sorry for Swindon’s defeat, but surely a little decorum please, after all sturgeons the leader of the SNP ,not in the crowd at IBROX.
I agree Jordy, especially Nicola Sturgeon, I nearly posted about it yesterday. No 'lady' would behave like that

jordy - I assume using the word "Ladies" was a typo.
ael.......yes BLAIR.

bhg481,your assumption is correct,
If I had put what I would like to call them I would be banned,Sturgeon is obsessed with an independent Scotland, she should be concerned with the education,
The hospital fiasco, and the drug epidemic rather than independence, which most of us voted against.
How can it be a typo when you went on to ratify your use of the word ladies by saying ‘And I use the term ladies for want of another word,
Something like female dogs’
Abbott and Sturgeon? Sounds like a 60s double act!
I don't see any jubilation at the removal of those opening campaigning on removal of democracy and implying they know better than the public, as being inappropriate. The disgrace is all the illiberal undemocrats.
“ there reaction” was to the SNP win .
It's a pity Abbott was returned with such a huge majority - I hate to think what her constituency must be like! Still, with an opponent called Obese-Jecty...
Election night is the time when all that angst and effort and sleepless nights (hopefully) pays off.

Adrenaline is surging, emotions are high, and people do tend to act with emotions first, and decorum second.

It does not necessarily excuse the behaviour, but it does offer a little context.
I wonder what sort of behaviour we can expect from Sturgeon when she is told she can't hold a referendum.
Boris should allow Sturgeon her vote asap. It's a win-win. Get Scotland off the books or silence Sturgeon for a generation!
I don't blame the wee un for her exuberance been suffering from that myself!
Jordy, yesterday, you were feeling guilty about things you'd said about Diane Abbott and today you are calling her a female dog.

Make your mind up.
