This town has a picture of a clock tower dating from 1868.The town's name probably comes from the Saxon word meaning marsh or boundary. Much of the town dates from the late 17th century and is constructed from local stone. To the north of the town you can see strip lynchets and close to the town is a Neolithic enclosure , Bronze Age barrows and an Iron Age hill fort. What is the name of the town. There is also a photo of a composer that has a connection to this town.
Many thanks in advance if anyone can help.
