‘ A man named Shaun Cromber who admitted to voting for Brexit was in disbelief that such a thing as leaving the EU would prevent him from living on the continent.’

Mmm.
For a moment there when I read the title of the post I thought the UK government were actually sending some back!
This issue is likely to affect all UK citizens living within EU counties – where non-nationals are limited to 90 day visa-free visits.

New Judge et al will soon be posting how good this is.

Who amongst us would be stupid enough to vote leave?
If being stupid made people vote leave, then leave would have won by a far greater margin
I suppose it is the same for IndyRef 2,steg.You would have to be really thick as mince to vote for seperation from our nearest neighbours.Thick as s.....
So how come Scotland didn’t vote for independence?
I take it you will be voting yes next time then ynnaf?
I used to know a lot of Brits who lived in Spain but flew back to the UK for their free prescriptions and to attend interviews for their benefits. They didn't want Spanish residency and most were working in Spain illegally. I hope this puts an end to that.
Immigration is a two way street ,we can’t expect to live a life on the Costas if we haven’t become a citizen of that country and I believe that’s being there for 10 years before applying
We could live on the Costas indefinitely if we were members of the EU.
Barry, not on benefits but we have friends who bought a Villa in Cyprus and lived the good life for 10 years, they travelled back here for dental treatment ( before it was privatised and general prescriptions, their home now because of the Euro against the pound having a major effect oh a very healthy private pension
Hymie, that ship has sailed now
Although the ship has sailed, there is no harm in pointing out how stupid it was to allow it to leave port.
But leave Port it has and the sooner to remainers accept this, the better
*the*
Not 'stupid' in my opinion !
Why cant they do what the expats do in Turkey? Get on a boat have your passport stamped abroad and then return.

No he won't.

It's unfortunate that the lives of these people have been disrupted. But if that's what Spain wants to do (presumably under instructions from their masters in Brussels) then that's their prerogative. If you choose to live in a foreign country there is always the possibility that country might decide to change the rules to your disadvantage or inconvenience.

Nobody expected the Spanish deportation

Not if we were EU members.
Looks like NJ might become a Remainer after all.
