Christmas Day! I have not been to bed yet and when I do I might actually oversleep.

So the big day is finally here - and birthday wishes go out to Emmie and Minty, both of whom have been under the weather. Hopefully they will both be fighting fit and posting soon.

I hope everyone is fulfilling their wishes today, whether being with loved ones or simply doing their own thing. I realise Christmas is not for everyone but my good wishes extend to all.

Today is historic in that we will hear the King's first Christmas Day address to the nation and I'm sure there will be a fitting and touching tribute to his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. I will miss her Christmas Day speeches very much.

What a year 2022 has been. May 2023 be a healthy, happy and prosperous year for us all.

I’m all packed and gift wrapping done, meeting with my Brother and SIL at lunch time, then off to Mums.

morning all xx a quick peep in..I'm no deid just been a bit poorly the last couple of weeks but on the mend..not helped by boiler bursting the night before yesterday and only getting repaired 8pm last night ! deep joy and the Christmas spirit rather went doon the plug.. however..have a very pleasant day everyone...especially if you are with loved ones today..but even more if for some reason you find yourselves away from those you hold dear..by distance..circumstances..or passing.. a very special greeting to those of you...xx

Morning LadgCG hun, as of a few weeks ago I now have 4 grandchildren lol - (don’t ask lol), so yes, it’s been an eventful year. Bad in a lot of health ways but au have an absolutely amazing husband - how he puts up with everything I will never now. But AB, as daft as it sounds, has been a rock for me xx

Little one has just woken up with the most gorgeous smile on his face. He's just had a chocolate before breakfast and couldn't believe his luck. We have the Christmas songs on now. :-)

Morning all, just watching the review of the year, the memorial bit. So many we have lost, that I didn't register at the time. Some too soon, some after long and amazing lives.
Yes it's a historic day, for so many of us who knew nothing but a Queens Speech. I think the Kings speech will be one from the heart today. At least I have plenty of tissues handy

Lamb shanks, roast veggies and some runner beans all bought in ready prepared
Ginger sponge pudding with clotted cream

Then the rest of the day the cheese board option. I will also cook enough extra veggies for bubble and squeak with gammon tomorrow. Planning to stay in for a few days have enough food in for a few weeks at least

Now that sounds like a plan. I love being at home and not having to go out for days on end.
