My daughter is doing a coach trip this sumer going to Poland, Hungary and Austria. She will only need money for lunches and drinks. Will she be able to use the Euro in all three countries or does she need to get small amounts of the individual currency. Tye coach stops overnight in Germany where we know the Euro is used.

only Austria uses the euro; you'll need some local currency (or maybe a credit card?) in the toehr two.
I wondered if it’s easier for her to have a card?

What about a couple of prepaid travel cards so she there are no worries about her losing a credit card.
There are others but here’s a link to the Post Office Travel Card.

Not sure how old your daughter is but if she’s young you can probably have the app on your phone so you can top up or freeze if necessary.
You can't go wrong with a pre-loadable Revolut card as it doesn't charge commission. We used ours in several countries including Germany, Iceland and the US.

Otherwise she'll need Zloty for Poland and Florints for Hungary

A Hungarian proton, an electron, & a neutron walk into a bar...
The proton orders a shot, drinks it, then takes out his wallet and pays the bartender in forints. The electron orders a shot, drinks it, then takes out his wallet and pays the bartender in forint too.

The neutron orders a shot, drinks it, then takes out his wallet... but the bartender stops him and says, "Wait...for you, no charge!"
