Would it be possible for answer removed legends to include the reason (a la site rules).

I realise it's not essential, but I'm curious (even if just divided between "spam" and "non-spam").  Why for example did two get cut on the oh-so-innocent Clue Chain thread last night ?

Just asking for a friend.

^^^ The same thing has happened on the "See how far this goes thread" 30 Decemeber and 3 Jasnuary - the answers were not wrong in any way, in fact one only stated "sleep well" and one other was a Happy New Year greeting.

It would be nice to know the reason why?

If innocent posts are removed the poster has probably been banned or suspended for a different post.

So if a reason were given it would be false and ridiculous for the innocent posts

Thanks Barry.  Does that mean, if a poster is suspended or banned, all his posts are automatically removed?

Banned yes; suspended, not sure

I didn't see the threads referred to here

^^^ If a member is banned, all of his/her contributions to the site are automatically deleted.

However, contrary to the impression given by Barry, if a member is suspended, then all of their posts remain fully visible (excluding, of course anything which might have been removed separately, such as the particular post[s] that actually resulted in the suspension)

Posts on suspended accounts aren't automatically removed - just the banned ones.

Thank you all - it was just that I couldn't understand why "innocent" posts were removed.

I did say I wasn't sure about suspended members' posts

I think it would still be nice to know the reason, but I may be in the minority here.

But remember curiosity didn't kill the canary, it killed the canary's mortal enemy, the cat 🤣
