the meaning of life is more life. Genes want to reproduce themselves. Once we're past the age of 30 or so they lose interest in us (because it's assumed we've already passed the genes on by having kids and raising them) and our bodies slowly start to run down. This process can, it is true, be slowed down if you wear comfortable shoes.
