my wife is a big most haunted fan, and im the biggest sceptic, but after watching it and going on many a ghost watch with, now i'm not too sure, i've never seen a white figure in a sheet, but certain things that can't be explained

With respect, you don't sound like the biggest of skeptics to me. Most Haunted is an entertainment show they don't actually encounter ghosts, they make it up. For example:

and as for ghost hunts, could you experiences be connected to psychological effects caused by the spooky type places you are visiting with a group of people who not only believe in, but activly seek evidence of the supernatural? Could you be incorrectly interpreting any movements, fidgets, dust, draft or shadow or any feelings of unease as ghosts?
