well, I shall welcome the thunderstorms as they will water the garden, which is more than the British authorities will let me do. And the rain will probably be Perrier, too.
Hi Kingsway - Any country that can produce Brigitte Bardot has got my vote. Whenever I drive through France I miss the roadside litter, I am appalled at how cheap town parking is and how good their motorway stops are. Dreadful place.
Oh, I don't know - claret, burgundy, champagne, Armagnac, Brigitte Bardot, more burgundy, more champagne, Roquefort, more claret, more champagne, Toulouse-Lautrec, Monet, Manet, more champagne, Erik Satie, Sylvie Guillem (did I mention champagne?).............
My seven and nine year old daughters were born in France and they would like to know your address, so they can send the Foreign Legion round for tea and a kicking.
I am an Englishman but am glad to say i do not fall into the category of France haters. I love the place and everything in the country. Food, drink, women, music, scenery and the extremely good weather, whether that be thunderstorms or sunshine.
I quite liked Gerard Depardieu, but suspect that if that old growler Maurice Chevalier was still around these days with his "Thank heaven for little girls" he would be locked up the moment he set foot in Dover.
