my fish daisy is always trying to eat the grave in our fish tank does anyone know why fish do this?????

id like to believe their looking for food amongst the gravel, but i just think fish are generally stupid! besides, how can they be looking for food? with a 3 second memory how does this work?! you turn over a peice of gravel and think, no food, then go back and realise you forgot if there was food or not, so go back and turn the same stone again, and again! youd go in cycles continually forgetting! i still think fish are stupd though.
