Army service

I know that my father was a professional soldier but was invalided out before WW2 began.I know that he served in India,but other than that nothing....no regiment, places or anything .just name and date of birth.It's something that he never spoke about but I would like to know something.Can anyone give me any ideas with so little to go on???Thanks

If you have any medals of your Dad's his number should be on the rim and also, if you have any photos, you can use sites that ID the cap badge and insignia etc. Good Luck.
