For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hi sunshine. Hope your homework went well. I hope the answer you recieved from some people in that last post does not discourage you from asking questions on ANYTHING during your life. Firslty, you do not need an excuse to ask that question, or any other in fact, homework or no homework, ever. A person with a thirst for knowlegde is one of the luckiest in the world, never loose that!!
Secondly, I do believe the website is called the answer bank, so where else would you expect information from?
I would also like to say to those who responded irrationally to the question in the first place, to be a little wiser and to try and plan what you are going to answer with in the future. If there is nothing constructive you can educate another with, it is best not to say anything at all.

Hello sunshine
In the light of this new information, and your age, I would like to proffer my apologies for my apparently flippant response to your initial question. i did think you were having a 'laugh' as sometimes happens on the AB, and once again, I do offer my apologies. I hope this has not discouraged you from asking future questions, when I, and I hope everyone else, will be a little more patient and forthcoming, in view of our knowledge about you.
Best,
andy h.
Never underestimate mankind's willingness to kill ourselves.
sunshine - there is enough evidence on the web/in museums/at the camps themselves and in your local bookshop to show that the holocaust happened in some way or another.
The arguments against it are the extent (6 million?) and whether Hitler and the German population had any knowledge of what was being done at the concentration camps. Although Hitler gave no precise order (one of the biggest claims) it is clear from Mein Kampf what his aims and objectives and those of the Nazi party were.
In searching google for "holocaust+evidence" I found some sites which made me feel slightly uncomfortable as they were ridiculing the claims and calling the holocaust propaganda. Your question and homework is a valid research topic and I hope you enjoy the homework.
Hi Folks, Just been reading both postings. Perhaps sunshine, it would be a good idea to not use bold too much in your postings. It carried a connotation of forceful arrogance although I guess you used it to get attention. Most of us out here have spent most of our lives without the advantages of formatting text and various formats carry a sort of tone in them. For me a question in itallics carries a more open and perhaps quoteing tone. A more detialed question often works wonders though.
Good luck with the home work. I hope you will understand a little of why people reacted the way they did to this. Having no first or second hand experiance I have relied on the media and books. One of the most moving things for me was visiting Anne Franks house in Amsterdam and reading her diary (you can buy it as a paper back in many different languages). I'm not one for crying ever, but even thinking back to the photos of the camps and Anne life it make me want to again.
