Oak Flooring.

About six years ago we had oak flooring laid throughout the downstairs of the house, they guy who did put about three coats of a varnish type stuff on and told us that every three to four years the wood would need lightly sanding and the varnish stuff reapplying. The floors still look good but I would like to freshen them up, does anybody have any idea please what the stuff may have been called that he treated the wood with as for the life of me I cannot remember. I can't ask him as he moved to NZ and as soon as I see or hear the name I will know.

Thanks builder, that's good to know. Next question, do I let OH know gently, or do I just go and buy the stuff, get the sander out of the garage and surprise him.

I use this for all my interior varnish work, it's far superior than polyurethane.
