The ideal freezer temperature is 0°F (-18°C)
Manual thermostat for setting the temperature in both the fridge and freezer.
The numbers 0 - 5 on the dial relate to power levels, rather than °C temperatures. To lower the fridge freezer temperature you would turn the thermostat up to increase the power - making it run colder.
What have you got your settings on ??

the button is a super freeze option -what it does is runs the motor constantly without cycling to freeze down quicker ,it bypasses the thermostat ,used when you might do a big freezer shop ,you normally hit this switch for a couple of hours -
however if the button is left on constantly it will cause problems as its bypassing the stat and running the motor too much and could burn it out
unplug your fridge let it defrost ,plug in again and let it start cycling without that switch on ,if you still get problems it may be too late for your fridge
Just to note, depending on the model, there should be a place inside the fridge compartment (low down on one wall in our case) where you can feel heat. This is normal. I think this is something to do with the automatic defrost facility. Might be worth checking the handbook/search for information about your particular model. May not be relevant in your case but thought worth mentioning. Good luck.
