I'm thinking of covering my kitchen floor with vinyl self adhesive floor tiles How good are they at remaining stuck down or do they have a tendency to lift.

Provided the surface you stick them to is spotlessly clean and level then they stick fine infact you'll be lucky to ever get them up again.
they stay down for life.
good luck with those..
but if you go ahead make sure your room while your doing it is WELL VENTILATED
They're excellent. The self-adhesive ones mean you don't have to faff around with floor glue. I had them in my kitchen, still got them in my bathroom, they've been there fifteen years.
