Save My Fig Tree
We have a small (2 foot high) fig tree on our balcony. It was given to us in August and has actually given small, sweet fruits. We repotted it when it was given to us in August and it has thrived until recently. After the recent southerly gales, it has started to look a bit poorly and the leaves are going black at the edges. Is this just wind damage or is it crying out for fig tree food?

If the rootball is soaking then roll it in old newspaper and squeeze gently to get as much water out as you can. Repot in a well drained compost wit no added water. stand it where it won't get much (any) rain and put the pot on feet to allow drainage and pray.
