We need to replace our monobloc two-lever kitchen mixer tap (it's been in place for 20 or so years and doesn't owe us anything), and have been looking at various websites where we can purchase these. Some of the models are only suitable for "high-pressure systems". Does anyone know how we can tell if our system is high-pressure or not? Obviously we would hate to buy an expensive tap and then find it's not suitable for our system. Hope someone can help, many thanks, cheers, Chox.
If you live in a house and just you getting water from the main pipe, then this is high pressure. If you live in a block of flats where the water is 'shared', then this is low pressure.
Thanks so much, much appreciated - just the answer I was looking for. I suspect that ours is low-pressure as our system is a gravity fed boiler etc etc. Cheers Chox.
