Wasn't sure which section to put this into, but decided on CB as more people read this.
The ceiling in my kitchen is papered and has recently been emulsioned. I had new downlighters fitted but unfortunately they are slightly smaller than the ones they replaced. This has left a "ridge" where the paper stops and a gap to the light fitting. I really don't want to have to re-paper the ceiling but rather do a cosmetic job on it. Anyone have any ideas how I can do this? Any suggestions appreciated.

Measure the circumference of your new lights to make sure they will fit what you purchase. Alternatively, use some decorators caulk to fill in and touch up with emulsion.
