i've recently purchased a new tv with integral freeview. i can get perfect service on some channels (bbc 1,2,3 etc) but not any itv stations (not even a picture). is this because the diplexer on the aerial pole is filtering that part of the signal or will i have to change the aerial.

when i switched to freeview my old aerial was no good, limited channels always breaking up etc. and i was advised to upgrade the aerial. spent 24 from argos and the new one did the trick
i live 5 miles from a tv mast but i still needed to change the aerial. in the past i used to think a wet piece of string would do but not with freeview
When i went 'digital' a few years ago I had to upgrade my aerial and re-position it on the chimney stack. Most people in my area had to.
