My stainless steel hob has scratches all over it from where my boyfriend used a brillo pad to try and clean it..ive tried allsorts to try and get the "sheen" a little bit better, but nothing seems to work. Baby oil and standard stainless steel cleaners only clean it, they dont help in covering up the scratches. any ideas?
Get out the worst of the scratches with fine flint paper, rubbing in one direction only. Then use the polish. My stainless sink basins are buffed finish, so I just used fine sandpaper, and they looked good as new.
