shower fan/light
5 Answers
any advice on selection of a fan/showerlight for directly above a shower? in the screwfix catalogue they offer makes by xpelair, vent axia and manrose.
i.m confused by the extraction rate, and noise levels required. also is a humidistat a good or bad option.
my son has a fan and complains about the time it runs for, about 15 minutes.
my fan is for a new ensuite ,probably with the motor in the loft area above with a two metre run to an outside cavity or a possible second option is wall mounted on this outside wall. the room is 2.7mts x 1.6mts .
thanks in advance

I recently fitted an extraction fan bought from Screwfix, Vent Axia (28935-90) Luminair with Overrun Timer. It has been in since June of this year and so far has been excellent, however we still have the winter to come.
The light on the fan is ideal above the shower tray but you will require more lighting for the bathroom area, the noise level is acceptable and the overrun time can be adjusted to suit yourself.
I can only give you my opinion of an Item that cost me over a 100, I am more than pleased with it and in the new year I am having to instal another one in a second shower room.
