We have this bush in the garden .When it comes into bloom it looks glorious and it's just starting now .However I have no idea what it is . It was here when we moved in nearly nine years ago .

Went out for dinenr with friends, thought I'd try the pasta pesto with spinach and pine nuts but when it arrived I realised I'd had it there several times before. Fortunately it was excellent.

Morning...very cold but nice and bright for a change. They've just said Christmas day could be record temps, mid teens. Suits me, I'd like that for the next few months please.
Oh dear, the Queen and Duke are too ill to go to Sandringham. I remember asking what would happen if we lost one of them on Christmas day...I hope that wasn't a premonition.
I think I'm shopping today too...mainly plonk for presents. I wish I knew more about it. The Tarquins said one I bought them last year was particularly good but apparently it doesn't follow that it will be that way again. I'll buy CherryB and Babycham, that's always the same :)

Morning all
Lovely day, brilliant sunshine but very cold.
Bit of shopping for us too shortly.Only to Morrisons for some odds and ends and that will have to do.I can't hustle round the shops any more at the last minute .
Haha .I've still got a bottle of Cherry B in the fridge from last year. It'll probably taste like cough medicine by now.
Yes I hope her maj soon recovers, she'll be miffed if she can't come to Norfolk for Christmas.

We've done all we needed. Lidl was totally unprepared and all turkeys werwere still unpacked. The staff were taking phone numbers and saying go away and well call you, this in the middle of nowhere. However one took pity on me ( or was dazzled by my beauty) and brought me one out. They are not frozen but perfect size for us instead of the hugec6kilo ones we usually end up with. And I found a roscon which is usually eaten on 5 jan but its either very old or they are producing them for Xmas.
Oooh, my aching back....sitting here with a hot pack. Sis came and all shopping's done thank goodness, it was busy in Sainsburys but the tills were moving well. How about this for a bargain...B&Q were selling real xmas trees off for 25 pence. We thought we were seeing things. Some were 6 ft +.
Yes we saw the royals had gone after all. Our suspicious natures made us wonder if there'd been a security problem.

Very very busy in Morrisons, lots of people elbowing and shoving you out of the way.Long queues. We got our few things and got out asap.Mr S did the self service thing which I never use if on my own.I dread to think what it'll be like tomorrow and Christmas eve.
I'm glad her maj has made it ,otherwise polishing my tiara would have been in vain.Snap Robinia ,I've got my hot cushion on my back.

I've run out of that luscious thickening mascara, and spitting in it doesn't work!!! Had to go and buy a l'oreal one (cos I'm worth it) for 10€ seems ok!
Have cleaned my fireside brasses. Got some energy today. Nice and sunny. Went to English shop and ought more Haywards pickled onions, evennthough we bought a kilo ofnthen innthe Spanish market yesterday and I pickle them but they not the same! Bought some twiglets, Carr's water biscuits ( twice the price than normal supermarket s but none to be had!) And a tinned steak and kidney pie for Mr N's stocking along with other things! He's bought me nothing as am not allowed a new microwave or boots!

Oops, sorry about that, Storm Babs is brewing here already. I've put my bins out of the wind but I doubt the neighbours will do the same.
I've been sorting out the post shopping chaos I caused yesterday, apart from fridge/freezer items I ached too much to put things away.
Crikey neti, there are mince pies at every turn here.
