I've let the grass in my garden grow very long. When I went to cut it back a bit this morning I saw that there were a few frogs living in it.
Should I leave it alone and let the frogs sit undisturbed?

I would - but then I'm a big old softie, spend half my life rescuing upside-down beetles. I even rescued a hornet from a swimming pool.
depends...if you don't mind it being long then i would leave it. I had a difficult few years a while ago when my lawn was so full of frogs that i had to go over it with a garden cane to move them before I mowed and even then sadly a couple got caught in the mower which is very deeply sickening and unpleasant.
Since we had the virus here in south hampshire frogs are much rarer...if it was me i would leave the grass and cherish the frogs. They will also be helping to control slugs in the garden.
lucky you Sandyroe I would love to have frogs in the garden again, no slugs or snails!
Hi Sandy. I have a patch of very long grass which I leave for frogs and check the lawn before mowing the rest. Pond will be in soon so more frogs I hope.

How are you doing? Gx
I have trouble if a frog gets into the garden, they make good chasing material for the catz. I found one sitting in the catz' water bowl a few months back!
I think where woofgang may have gone wrong was thrashing about on his own. Grouse-beaters work in line in a singular motivated direction to clear all before them. If your priority is short grass, then you should perhaps enlist the help of a line of 'frog-beaters'.
Cherish frogs like pets, they will earn their keep by eating pests.
how cute. name them, kermit etc
I have quite a few frogs in the garden and garage.................I have to keep moving them as the cleaner is petrified of them.
