Shady Climber...

Hello Green-Fingered-Cyberpeeps,

I'm trying to grow a honeysuckle in a fairly shady corner in the garden against a trellis attached to a rather unattractive concrete wall.  The soil is also doesn't drain very well - there's a fair amount of clay when you dig about.  My question is:  Will my honeysuckle struggle on and eventually thrive?  If not, could anyone suggest a flowering climber that will enjoy the conditions described above.  Thanks folks!!

As Honysuckle are woodland plants, it should thrive in the situ you have there.
I would plant the variety (Lonicera 'firecracker') for it's resistance to mildew.
