Cat Poo

Urgh just discovered cat poo on my long haired shaggy rug in my lounge. I don't know how long it had been there but lifted off cleanly with a paper towel, then I sprayed whole area with Fabreze, but does this mean he will use this spot again? The rug is so big and heavy it takes 2 people to lift it so I can't just take it to be cleaned.

You could try Lion dung - I don't think it is wet. No cat would get near it if that was sprinkled around. It's useful in the garden . . .

If you have some Ammonia dab some on some kitchen paper and rub it over the area, it should take away any 'familiar' odours. We have had to do this many a time with our brood. But test it on an area that can't be seen.

Thanks for some really good ideas, I am sure it has only happened over this weekend which is strange as someone was here all the time. He is 18 now though and I'm just worried he will use the rug again as he is virtually a house cat now he is older and has never used cat litter in his life.
